Kialla is a one hour documentary at rough cut stage. The film follows school leaver Ben as he takes a position on his Uncle and Aunty’s farm. Ben is considering farming as a career and he gains valuable experience on his relative’s established organic property. His Uncle Graham and Aunty Sandy have lost their own son Andrew and his fiancee Ruth in a car crash. Ben’s presence on the farm provides practical relief in the day to day running of the farm whilst also drawing the family into the social network, a Ute Club that was Andrew’s main social outlet before his death.
